New Non-Executive Director for Reliance Mutual

Reliance Mutual Insurance Society Limited (Reliance Mutual) has appointed Wai Au as a Non-Executive Director.

As part of her role on the Reliance Mutual Board, Wai Au will be taking over as Chair of the company’s Audit and Risk Committee when Jack Cain retires from the Board at the next AGM in May 2010.

Wai Au currently has a portfolio of Senior Advisory roles including Accenture Financial Services UK. Prior to her advisory roles, she was Chief Executive Officer at Tactica Insurance (2006-8), held several senior management roles at Barclays Bank (2002-6) culminating as Director of Global Servicing, and was UK Finance Director (Life and General) at Royal Sun Alliance (1999-2001).

Commenting on her appointment Seamus Creedon, Chairman of Reliance Mutual said, “Wai is an excellent addition to our Board and we look forward to working with her. She has a very impressive career history within financial services and we expect her experience and expertise will be very beneficial to the business going forward.”
