Creedon joins Reliance Mutual board

 

Seamus Creedon has joined Kent based Reliance Mutual Insurance Society Limited (Reliance Mutual) as a non-executive director.

 

Mr Creedon, an actuary and management consultant was until recently a partner at KPMG, where he led the UK actuarial practice from 2000-2003 and was the deputy leader globally.  More recently he has been advising the Irish Government on competition issues in their health insurance market.

 

Prior to his time at KPMG, Mr Creedon had been Chief Executive of Bank of Ireland's Life Assurance business, and Head of Corporate Development across Europe. Before that he was Actuary and Chief Executive Ireland for Abbey Life.

 

He has a high profile in professional circles as well, being a member of the Council of the Institute of Actuaries, and Chair of the Solvency II Life Working Group of the European actuarial profession. He qualified as an actuary in 1976.

 

Commenting on Mr Creedon’s appointment, Mark Goodale, Reliance Mutual’s Chief Executive said,  “Seamus brings with him considerable and valuable financial services experience and contacts.  He will also be a tremendous additional sounding board for our executive management team as we take the business to the next chapter in its history.”
